Poderaccio organic farmhouse is nestled in the hills between Chianti and Valdarno Superiore, just half an hour from Florence. The guest house is a 18th century farmhouse divided into 4 apartments, renewed in 2012 using greebuilding materials.
We only use renewable energy: the wood gives us heating, the sun provides us with hot water and the energy necessary to satisfy the house needs. We are under the standards of Eco- Bio Tourism and all the food products are certified organic. We cultivate the land according to the organic agriculture criteria, maintaining its fertility, enhancing its biodiversity.
There is one apartment accessible to a guest in wheelchair. It has 1 big bedroom with a king size bed , fireplace, a big bathroom with shower , a kitchen, accessible private terrace with barbecue.
Stay a time with us also during autumn- winter for a retreat far from the cities or to relax after visiting Florence. After your day spent outside you can relax in front of the fire on a comfy four-poster bed . ..
The apartment is equipped with all you need to cook including salt, sugar and coffee and if you visit us in the right season we also offer a rich basket of fresh vegetables from our organic garden.
In case you don’ feel like preparing food there are many good and also cheap restaurants near us. Most of them serve the real Tuscan food, you should try the typical Tbone steak “Fiorentina” if you eat meat or the “Ribollita” soup if you are vegetarian..
On demand, we can provide you with a basket with our or local organic products for breakfast: homemade bread, homemade jam, honey, yogurt, fresh fruit, and milk (price not included ).
